An exciting opportunity to join Suffolk County Council's Procurement Team as a **Procurement Support Administrator** working from our HQ at Endeavour House, Ipswich.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person who is motivated, keen to do a good job, and an effective team player providing Helpdesk support to the Council.

**Your role and responsibilities**
- working within the Procurement team on the P2P Helpdesk providing support and guidance to the council. (Full training to be provided)
- signposting helpdesk users to sources of additional information and support
- delivery of a range of administration tasks
- assist customers with the use of electronic systems for purchase order processing and tendering
- undertake specific procurement tasks.

**You will need**
- great communication skills with a positive attitude to deliver a high standard of customer care
- the ability to solve problems and deal with enquiries from a variety of people
- excellent IT skills
- to be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise your own workload as well as being able to multi-task
- good organisational skills.

**The team**

The Procurement Team provides specific commercial challenge to the council using category management through a process of analysis of spend and external market data to develop effective strategies to reduce cost and improve service efficiency.

**Travel and workplace requirements**

We positively encourage the use of technology to communicate and in this role, other than commuting to your contractual base, there is no expected requirement to travel.
