We’re seeking a future team member for the role of **EMEA Head of Sanctions Controls Assurance **to join our Enterprise Sanctions Control Assurance team. This role is located in **Manchester, United Kingdom
- Hybrid Work Model **.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

- Lead a regional team of professional staff in overseeing the development and execution of Sanctions controls
- Partner with Operations, Legal, Product and Compliance team to ensure the implementation of Sanctions controls in the firm are compliant with all relevant Sanctions regulations and policies
- Lead all Sanctions control activities across functions in your respective region, including the allocation and management of resources.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining internal strategies, processes and procedures related to monitoring of sanctions regulatory requirements.
- Interface with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap in support of BNYM goals.
- Manage and provide communication to regulatory agencies and internal audit.
- Providing written and verbal issue management communications with Senior Management, Lines of Business and Compliance.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations are adhered to.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required; advanced degree preferred
- 10 -15 years of work experience with 5+ years of management experience preferred
- Preferred 3- 5 + years of Sanctions experience
- Experience managing teams with a demonstrated track record of process improvement and operational excellence
