**About the Role**
We are looking for some friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help out with our Creating Connections Thursday Social Club.
Creating Connections is a prevention service for those aged 65 and over. It aims to reduce loneliness and isolation in Worthing through companionship, shared interests, and community participation.
The Thursday Fun Social Club is a place where friends can catch up, be entertained and have some fun. We have activities and a fish and chip lunch followed by afternoon entertainment and cake.
The role is flexible, if you can only spare a couple of hours each Thursday we would still love to hear from you
The Club runs from 10.30am to 3pm at Lovett Court, Maybridge Square, Worthing BN12 6HB
**What will I be doing? - Tasks & Duties**
- Give a warm welcome to our members at the beginning of session
- Form, sustain and develop relationships with our members
- Offer assistance with tasks including serving lunch, dish washing, serving teas and coffees and drinks throughout the day
- Socialising with members
- Play games and organise activities for the members

**Times and commitment**
Thursdays, between 10:30am and 3:30pm
**Support Offered**
You will be supported by the volunteering team and the unit that you will be volunteering for. Depending on your role there will be some training that we ask that you complete. This is outlined below
