Plant Attendant

Mac Recruitment Group are delighted to represent our client, a worldwide leader in the waste to energy and renewable sector. A Plant Attendant is required to join their busy team.

**Duties**:

- The Plant Attendant will monitor all areas of the plant during plant inspections.
- Operating the overhead crane for the orderly removal of waste and accessing all areas of the plant
- Loading and unloading of vehicles, the use of the Front-Loading Shovel (FLS) and Fork Lift Truck (FLT) as required.
- Active involvement in fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Reporting to the relevant levels of management
- As Plant Attendant you will effectively react to planned and unplanned (i.e. emergency) repairs and emergencies and react effectively and promptly to alarms
- The Plant Attendant will ensure plant cleaning schedules are fulfilled and a high standard of housekeeping
- Highlight any necessary changes required within Plant Operating Instructions (POI’s), and Risk Assessments.

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of plant operation procedures, methods, and equipment
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices and procedures
- Working at height and in confined spaces.

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts
- The Plant Attendant will have experience/qualification in operating mobile plant
- Understanding/experience of operating and monitoring boiler and steam turbine plants
- Valid Forklift Licence
- Physically fit and ability to work at heights

**Salary & benefits**:

- £31,000 basic plus £5,000 shift allowance
- 5% bonus
