We have a fantastic new opportunity for a **Hydrogen Enablement Coordinator** to join our British Gas Zero team.

Main accountabilities:
Coordinating the Hydrogen for Heat (H4H) program
- Coordinate activities, breaking down larger activities into smaller tasks, working with the team to deliver effectively
- Working with relevant teams, e.g. legal, to ensure documentation is completed correctly to keep BG & the team compliant
- Support the development of new hydrogen related company policies

Support the Health and Safety work on domestic hydrogen:

- Support the work on technical standards development and drafting
- Support with analysis on technical trials

Leveraging your knowledge about Net Zero including hydrogen and other low carbon fuels, explain hydrogen in a scientifically robust, yet easy to understand manner:

- Support the development of simplified materials (e.g. FAQs) for both technical audiences (e.g. our engineers, safety teams) as well as the wider public (e.g. consumers)
- Explain, in a simplified way understandable by consumers, what are the main properties of hydrogen, the different technologies for production and what this means for domestic use
- Help with myth-busting common misconceptions about production, transport and burning of hydrogen

Support the analysis for local decarbonization trials:

- Support the development of scenarios for what the cost of domestic hydrogen is likely to be for end consumers based on adoption, production and demand scenarios, by region
- Support the development of an approach for leveraging both electrification and hydrogen for the hydrogen town trials
- Support research on risks and opportunities in domestic decarbonization with hydrogen.

- British Gas Health and Safety team
- Digital and Product teams
- Field and Customer operational team
- Corporate affairs and Communication teams

**Requirements**:

- Keen interest of the role of Hydrogen in the decarbonisation mix, advantages and limitations of the technology and awareness of most important policy decisions that will influence its role
- Science background with a focus on hydrogen
- Data manipulation and presentation experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly, and to respond positively to changing workloads and priorities, with a willingness to undertake varied responsibilities.
- High attention to detail

Conditions:

- Flexible working available in line with Centrica policies
- Occasional travel required to the selected location of the Programme (Whitby Ellesmere Port or Redcar) and to Leicester British Gas offices
