**Job Title**:General Maintenance/Grounds Person - Daleacres Club Campsite

**Reporting to**: Site Manager

**Main Purpose of Job**:
To support the Site Managers in providing a first-class service and in creating a safe, relaxed & enjoyable holiday environment for all our visitors by ensuring the upkeep of the site grounds and general facilities to the Club’s high standards. Required immediately for 30 hours a week until September 2024.

**Key Duties**:

- Grass cutting (ride on mower and hand mowing)
- Hedge cutting
- Strimming
- Pruning
- Bin run on occasions
- Report any incidents/accidents to the Site Managers
- Inspect and clear if necessary all drains, culverts and watercourses on the site
- Sweep and collect leaves, branches and twigs off pitches and site paths and site roads using site equipment (if provided)

**Other duties that may be required**:

- Internal/external painting as agreed with the Site Managers
- Maintaining pathways/dog walk
- Routine and regular maintenance of site equipment
- Pitch renovation
- Watering
- Cultivation of shrub/flower beds
- Assist as and when necessary with cleaning of site facilities - toilet block
- Any other duties (not listed here) as agreed with the Site Managers

**Accountabilities**:

- Provide levels of customer service in accordance with The Club's standards (as instructed by your Site Managers/Regional Manager) to meet visitors' expectations.
- Ensure the site and the site's facilities are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and appearance to comply with The Club's standards (as instructed by your Site Managers/Regional Manager)
- Working within The Club’s Health and Safety guidelines to maintain and monitor a safe and secure environment for the welfare of our visitors and staff.
- Assist the Site Managers with the safe operational practices and maintenance of site equipment to ensure compliance with The Club's obligations and policies.
- Maintain written records.
- Adhere to The Club’s Club policies, procedures and rules in a fair and flexible manner in accordance with the requirement of the site.
- Maintain an effective and friendly working relationship with colleagues to promote a constructive working environment, both at East Grinstead and throughout the Sites Network.
- Be prepared to undertake all reasonable tasks required to ensure consistent running of the site.
- To provide a consistent level of service and cover by maintaining the standards and working practices in the absence of the Site Manager in accordance with the requirement of your site.

**Responsibilities**:
**Health and Safety**:

- To actively identify potential risks and hazards within the workplace. To assist the Site Manager to achieve this and to ensure where the risk or hazard cannot be adequately controlled the Regional Manager is notified and appropriate action agreed and implemented
- Ensure you are competent to undertake any routine maintenance and minor repairs on site, to ensure prior to any such activities appropriate risk assessment and agreed control measures are in place.
- All supplied equipment and tools are to be maintained, used and stored as required and in line with training received. Defective equipment to be identified to the Site Manager or Regional Manager for repair or replacement.
- Ensure all hazardous substances used, stored and or disposed of on-site are done so in the prescribed manner and used by those trained and authorised to do so.
- Ensure all PPE provided is used, maintained and stored as per training. Ensure any deficiencies and or defects are reported to the Site Manager or Regional Manager in a timely manner.
- Ensure all accidents including near misses are reported, recorded and investigated in line with current Club procedures
- Assist the Site Manager to ensure all records of inspection, maintenance, assessment and the like are maintained and available for inspection as required.
- Attend refresher training as agreed, and bring any deficiencies in training and or competencies to the attention of the Regional Manager at the earliest opportunity.

**Customer Service**:

- To promote a positive and welcoming attitude at all times.
- To be proactive in identifying improvements beneficial for both members and staff on site.

**Site Facilities**:

- To present a site that is attractive, welcoming, functional and safe.
- Maintain all public areas to the required standards (as instructed by Site Managers and/or Regional Manager) including pitches, shower facilities, veg preparation, laundry and refuse facilities.

**Club’s Policies and Procedures**:

- To have a working knowledge of the Sites Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
- To utilise the range of reference manuals that provide guidance to site staff to enable them to complete the necessary activities of the role.

**Club’s Sites Rules**:
To be familiar with The Club’s Site Rules within the relevant areas of the Sites Directory and Handbook

**Training**:
