We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Digital Engagement Officer to join our Network Office Team. This role will suit someone who enjoys a challenging role. Are you able to use your creativity in order to assist in developing and growing Mencap's digital engagement within the Mencap Network across multiple channels? There are over 300 independent groups and organisations at part of the Mencap Network.

The Network Digital Engagement Officer role has a very important part to play in the Network Office team. The Digital Engagement Officer role involves lots of planning content and developing projects/ campaigns and ideas across a range of Digital platforms. This will help to increase and grow our digital presence and engagement for/with our valued Network Partners.

We are recruiting for a confident and competent team member who has demonstrable experience of digital engagement and growing an online presence. Ideally you will have a Digital marketing/ communications qualification or have extensive experience in this sector and knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.

As the Digital Engagement Officer, you will support and contribute to the engagement strategy to connect and grow Mencap’s affiliated Network. Creating content, keeping track of timelines and project managing digital activity is all part of the job.

Do you have the following skills for the Digital Engagement Officer role?
- To manage our social media platform (Facebook community group) and private Your Network Online platform
- To support in the development of website content on the Your Network Online platform; specifically introducing a training suite of videos in our resources area
- Keeping up to date with current Mencap Network affairs in order to communicate this to wider team and colleagues at Mencap
- Aid team in responding to client web enquiries/web-related issues. Support colleagues in other teams dealing with feedback on website and online interactions. To work with a suite of online tools such as Google Analytics, Impact Stack, Dot Digital, Hot Jar, Drupal and sleek note.
- Support with providing strategic advice on use of digital channels and online communities
- Create and deliver operational plans to increase digital engagement

**Essential skills and experiences required for this role**:

- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a simple and compelling fashion
- Proficient digital, data, marketing, insight and relationship management skills
- Have an interest in and desire to know more about learning disability
- Knowledge of online marketing
- Knowledge of social media and what makes great content
- Knowledge and experience of social media analytics and reporting
- Experience in website/webpage creation and development
