Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the role is responsible for ensuring appropriate and robust financial controls are in place across TRGL and its subsidiaries, Group financial reporting and cash flow reporting. The role is also responsible for the consolidation of the Group annual statutory accounts and subsidiary accounts, together with the appropriate audits and regulatory returns.

The role will provide leadership and direction to the Financial Accounting and Financial Control teams in all aspects of their work, whilst fostering a continuous improvement culture across the teams.

**Working Pattern Monday - Friday 35 Hours**

**Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the role is responsible for ensuring appropriate and robust financial controls are in place across TRGL and its subsidiaries, Group financial reporting and cash flow reporting. The role is also responsible for the consolidation of the Group annual statutory accounts and subsidiary accounts, together with the appropriate audits and regulatory returns. The role will provide leadership and direction to the Financial Accounting and Financial Control teams in all aspects of their work, whilst fostering a continuous improvement culture across the teams.**

- Act as the internal technical accounting expert for the Group, ensuring accounting policies are robust, communicated and applied effectively.
- Development of financial accounting processes and procedures ensuring compliance with FRS’s, SORP and IFRS.
- Assess the implications of changes in reporting standards and ensure that these are adopted in the most effective way for Riverside.
- Develop and maintain a strong internal controls and review framework in line with Group Governance.
- Work closely with the Group Tax Manager in the management of VAT efficiency, VAT return, calculation and preparation of corporate tax return and overall tax compliance.
- Working with the CFO, FD, and other senior leaders to understand and influence business results through effective analysis and decision making.
- Proven track record of building successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

**Role Profile**
- Lead, manage and co-ordinate a team. Actively coach and manage performance of individuals, teams, and departments to achieve the stated objectives of TRGL and positively impact upon the customer of TRGL.
- Lead the production of financial statutory and regulatory reporting to meet required standards for both the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Act as the internal technical accounting expert for the Group, ensuring accounting policies are robust, communicated and applied effectively.
