**About The Role**:
**Role - Head of Product Insurance**

**Location - Bristol**

**Working pattern - Hybrid**

The core purpose of this role is to drive, own and lead the delivery of the RAC’s insurance business product roadmap and strategy.

This will involve ownership of the insurance product roadmap in conjunction with the insurance team and wider stakeholder group (3rd party suppliers and partners) from vision and strategy into action plans, requirements and ultimately delivery.

The role holder will lead and facilitate both the approach and the definition of the product strategy aligned to RAC’s growth ambitions, market dynamics and the regulatory environment to ensure competitive advantage for RAC Insurance by having a market leading product portfolio and strategy.

The role will also play a key role in defining and delivering an optimal Insurance Operating Model to ensure RAC is maximising value from all parts of the value chain, as well as creating efficiencies and cost savings as part of the target design.

The role will have at least 1 direct report but will play a key role in leading a cross-functional approach to product strategy, roadmap and delivery.

**About You**:
**Responsibilities**
- Identify product road map, create case for change and own delivery to market
- Lead cross-business engagement and product management methodologies (e.g. how we get it done)
- Lead, drive and facilitate product workshops
- Own and lead the relationship with central / 3rd party change management, digital and engineering teams to ensure joined up roadmap and delivery
- Work closely with the commercial and pricing teams to understand growth opportunities and design compelling propositions to meet market and customer demand
- Evaluate RAC product portfolio and identify gaps and opportunities for growth both organically and M&A led
- Responsible for business cases for product strategy
- Manage in life upsell cross sell and retention propositions

**Essential Skills**
- Experienced product leader in driving product roadmap, investment and delivery
- Held a similar role in financial services, and be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen
- Experience of driving customer insight as part of product strategy development
- Happy working in a fast-paced environment

**Desirable Skills**
- Product/Project Management qualifications (i.e. Agile, Prince 2)
