Head of Estates

Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services (DSFS), Estates department are looking to appoint a Head of Estates to lead, manage and develop our Estates Service, to ensure that all services meet statutory requirements, NHS targets and offer quality and value for money. A key focus of the role is to ensure all our buildings and facilities provide safe, comfortable and pleasing environments for our patients and staff.
The post holder will undertake the role of Estates professional advisor to the Trust advising the board on key Estates strategic and compliance issues.
The post holder will be responsible to the Operations Director for all Governance and Assurance on operational activities undertaken on a range of Estates Operational Standards including statutory compliance and Health Technical Memorandum compliance for Estates maintenance.

Applicants should have extensive experience in working at a senior level delivering Estate Services and will require excellent leadership skills that will enable them to motivate and develop our multi-disciplinary services and workforce. Experience in delivering high performing customer focussed services and being able to effectively manage senior clients is an essential.

To be the professional head of Estates Services, and take the lead in providing professional advice in the Trust.
Developing and managing key performance indicators across all areas of statutory compliance.
To ensure that the Trust meets its statutory requirements and delivers best practice in the provision of its Estates services and undertake the role of responsible person for all areas of statutory compliance.
Support the Operations Director in delivering the DSFS commercial development programme.
