Manchester Metropolitan University is increasingly known for its research. As the second-ranked modern university for research power, ranked 38th in the UK overall, where 91% of our research impact is world leading or internationally excellent we're already leading in the sector. A new Research Strategy is in development. It will set out our ambition for even greater success.
This is an exciting opportunity to take up a brand-new role and join Library and Cultural Services at a time of transformative change.
You will lead the strategic development of open research together with practices, services and initiatives that are vital to its delivery, including expanding open access, research data and research intelligence. You will direct the conversation about the opportunities and challenges of open research within Library and Cultural Services and influence the University wide discussion.
As a member of the Leadership Team you will share responsibility for the strategic development and management of Library and Cultural Services. This includes planning for a landmark new building in the Library Transformation Programme.
