**Responsible to**: Directly accountable to and taking direction from the employer (Mum)
**Hours**: Variable working hours. School holidays are a must and occasional hours within term time
**Hourly Rate of Pay**: £12.00
**Based at**: Employer’s own home in Eye, Suffolk and out in the local community
**Job Purpose**
**Main duties**:
- Personal care e.g., dressing, supervising when toileting.
- Constant supervision is always required.
- Support with all safety aspects.
- To be a social friendly companion to the child
- To support with sensory play and active play such as riding bikes, going for walks, playing in the garden and keeping busy.
- You will be required to keep him entertained in the home and outside.
- To build a supportive relationship and take part in activities which the child enjoys.
- To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.
**Personal Specification**
- Flexible in the hours and times that you can work.
- Experience with caring for children is essential
- Have a good sense of humour and enjoy a friendly joke.
- You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- You should have knowledge and understanding of risks.
- Must be able to speak and write fluent English to possibly help or assist with education.
- Be patient and supportive.
