**Job Role**:
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and develop a busy, highly skilled and long serving plastics fabrication production team in Hebburn, Newcastle.

You will monitor the team to ensure KPIs are met and that individual employees are able to carry out their roles to the best of their abilities. In addition to allocating work to achieve high quality output on time and in full you will be confident in reporting on your department performance and developing your team. In this hands-on role, you will need to be self sufficient and lead by example: demonstrating your strong production experience (including the ability to read technical drawings) and encouraging those around you

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Overall responsibility for the allocation, completion and quality of manufacture
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations as well as 5s standards are met at all times.
- Implementing quality control and continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicating with key clients to keep them updated on production delivery dates, re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary.
- Mentoring employees to ensure continuous employee development
- Drive continuous improvements in line with lean manufacturing best. practice

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required**:

- Must be able to read technical drawings
- Experience of leading, managing and developing a team
- Structured approach to work
- Confident using IT software systems
- Good organisation with the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Able to take initiative and work independently
- Able to prioritise

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
