**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- To work in a professional and safe manner at all times.
- Line off, align and prepare items such as structural components, equipment etc as required for ships and marine structure installations.
- Produce templates & patterns for lining off purposes including plots, reference marks and lines to maintain alignment of installations, ships and marine structures.
- Build/prepare keel, bilge blocks and other shoring requirements for the docking and support of vessels.
- Position and secure keel, bilge blocks and other shoring requirements in line with supplied docking plans and information.
- Remove & re-install wood decking etc as and when required.
- Assist in alignment and docking of vessels etc.
- Any other duties deemed fair and reasonable by the supervisor.

**Competences, Qualification and Experience**
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship as either a shipwright or plater
- Minimum of 5 years trade experience.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Competent to operate equipment required for the position.
- Communicate in a positive manner with other disciplines, supervisors, managements.
- Behave in a professional and safe manner.
- Meet targets and objectives as set by the company.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and provide individual competency.
