As a Team Leader you will monitor the performance, workload, financial performance and engagement of the team as well as the performance of the numerous market leading and innovative strategies that are regularly rolled out to clients. You will be required to contribute to the firm’s financial performance through their supervision of cases and the handling of a small caseload.

**Main Responsibilities**:
To undertake file reviews and audits for File Handlers to ensure effective case management and the production of high-quality work.
To undertake general supervisory duties including monitoring of timekeeping, checking File Handler’s post, covering holidays, absence and sick leave.
To monitor workloads in compliance with service standards within the Fraud Department and provide a point of contact for the Partnership/Senior Management.
To take responsibility for performance, development and training of the team and to escalate any performance concerns to the Partnership/Senior Management.
To ensure profitable and productive working practices are followed through monitoring of MI and team performance.
To contribute to the financial success of the department, ensuring the team is billing cases regularly and collecting outstanding payments from clients or third parties in accordance with business and department requirements.
To ensure all required targets, KPI’s and standards are achieved.
To complete employee probationary reviews and appraisals where necessary.
To ensure that all team members remain fully engaged and productive.
To monitor the time recording and office attendance as appropriate to ensure completion of contracted hours.
To support the People Team with recruitment when appropriate.
To produce team MI for any internal or external audits/tender documentation.
To practice good file management, keeping up to date with all correspondence relating to files.
To ensure that clients and its customers continue to receive a best-in-class service from HF.
To monitor the performance of numerous fraud strategies to feedback on results to the Partnership / Senior Management and clients as required.
To support the business in the delivery of HF’s strategy and uphold and support the firm’s values.
To ensure awareness of the relevant firm standards and working practices, including Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and Law Society Practice Management Standards.
In addition, the job holder is required to perform other responsibilities assigned by management as and when requested.

AS a Team Leader, if you manage Fixed Fee work, you must;
Manage the team with an eye to the commerciality of the fixed fee agreements
Monitor profitability of the team and the cases within the team
Maintain a success rate in line with HF’s standards
Monitor lifecycles of cases to ensure cases are proactively dealt with
Monitor and maintain appropriate caseload levels considering fee agreements and work type

As a Team Leader, if you manage Hourly Fee work, you must;
Manage the team with an eye to the commerciality of the hourly rate agreements
Monitor profitability of the team and the cases within the team
Identify and optimise billing
Maintain a success rate in line with HF’s standards
Monitor and maintain appropriate caseload levels to maximise output on cases, varying head count to maintain optimum caseloads where appropriate

Person Specification

Experience in a fee earning and supervisory role is essential

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in handling complex fraud cases

To have a commercial awareness of the strategies of the department and the firm
To have a good working knowledge of the current law/caselaw/CPR covering insurance law.

To be highly organised, driven and able to manage multiple tasks and deliver in accordance with set deadlines.

The ability to communicate effectively, with experience of engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the business

To be able to motivate, drive and engage a team
To act with integrity and exhibit best practice behaviours in the role of Team Leader.

Impeccable Excel knowledge and sound analytical skills.
