Junior Associate - Fraud - North West

My client is a prominent global legal entity, specializing in key sectors such as insurance, transport, construction, energy, trade, and commodities. An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a Junior Associate to work from the Manchester office.

I am currently recruiting for a Junior Associate (NQ - 2 years PQE) to join the Fraud Team in Manchester, specializing in Motor Fraud claims.

My client’s Fraud department is a rapidly expanding practice units, covering a spectrum of insurance and non-insurance fraud disputes, with a particular focus on motor, EL/PL, and organized frauds.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with all team members, exposing yourself to various tasks, with a primary focus on representing various insurance companies and self-insured commercial entities.

2. Take ownership of a complete caseload of motor fraud claims.

3. Conduct investigations involving live defenders, acquire witness statements, and analyze medical records and reports.

4. Identify information requirements and secure necessary documentation/evidence from claimant representatives.

5. Adhere to reporting and reserving requirements concerning different client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

6. File Management, including initial reports, updates, and correspondence.

7. Attend and appear at court and pre-trial meetings, adhering to court timetables.

8. Support Partners in serving existing clients, developing new business, and maintaining client relationships using technical excellence and innovation.

9. Draft all legal documents and provide client advice.

10. Handle interlocutory proceedings, Case Management Conferences (CMCs), and client meetings.

11. Support marketing and business development activities within the team and the broader Clyde & Co casualty group.

Essential Skills & Experience
- A highly determined individual capable of adapting well within a demanding, fast-paced team.
- Previous experience in a Fraud environment dealing with motor claims.
- Enjoyment of challenges posed by complex legal issues and a willingness to expand knowledge.
- Focus on delivering a highly professional service to clients, including compliance with client SLAs and Management Information (MI) requirements.
