We are currently recruiting for the key role of Security Supervisor. This role’s main responsibilities are to organize and oversee all security operations of our St Albans Site. The postholder will look after the safety and security of the property and its service users. This role is one which requires a high level of experience, knowledge, and a proactive attitude in a potentially high-risk environment. It is a supervisory role with leadership of a team.

Development and implementation policies and procedures to maintain security standards is required as are excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. An SIA licence is required.

The goal is to create and preserve an environment where all people and property are safe and well-protected.

The role is a 40 hours per week, working the 15.00 hours to 23.00 hours shift, in “5 over 7” rosters including weekends and Bank Holidays).

**Main Duties and Responsibilities of the role are**:

- Identify and protect company assets through the development and implementation of security protocols.
- Ensure the safety of the people, including service users, colleagues, and visitors on site.
- Ensure compliance with fire and safety protocols.
- Perform security process evaluations and inspections.
- Prepare the property and people for external inspections.
- Manage the budget for security operations in collaboration with senior managers.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
- Assist senior management with recruitment and training of direct reports.
- Supervision of direct reports.
- Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs.
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
- Co-ordinate people when responding to emergencies and alarms.
- Review reports on incidents and breaches.
- Investigate and resolve issues.
- Create reports for management on security status.
- Analyse data to form proposals for improvements (e.g., implementation of new technology)

**Requirements/ Qualifications**:

- SIA qualified or working towards this qualification with relevant experience.
- Proven experience as security manager or similar position
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g., CCTV)
- Experience leading teams with excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Implementation and delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is desirable.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Good level of education including qualifications in English and Mathematics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed and reliable
- An ability to demonstrate a flexible and positive 'can do' attitude.
- Relatable experience in hotels, student accommodation, Hall of residence, housing company or Business centre.
