**About the role**

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the **Beverage and Packaging Technologist **position is a Newly created role to support our Quality, New Product Development, Innovation and Sustainability teams with our regional growth strategy. Bring a high degree of technical knowledge as an expert both in beverage development as well as latest trends in packaging. Bring technical and market insights to help inform regional strategy and collaborate with global expert teams to help bring vision to life.

Some of the Responsibilities of this role include:

- Packaging:

- Supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of packaging legislation and new to market materials relevant to our business strategy
- Facilitating with the creation of materials component database including material composition, sustainability, recyclability, and compostable for all materials used within region with relevant supporting documentation.
- Primary contact and liaison for European wide recyclability legislation and on-pack recycling requirements
- Beverage Development and Formulations:

- Support with product innovation research, development and trials and share learnings as part of product Gate 3 reviews.
- Sustainability:

- Collaborate with global and regional teams to lead with the delivery of sustainable partnerships and projects with suppliers
- Open and lead EMEA regional technical team discussions to promote positive change and support regions on sustainability and packaging
- Ensure business is complying with current and new energy and environmental legislation, including but not limited to ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme), ESG projects
- Quality:

- Analysing data relevant to KPI performance and targets with key suppliers scoped within role
- Creation and updating of protocols relevant to the role Support team with BOM and product specifications

**About you**

We are looking for someone with strong relevant technical experience ideally with a beverage manufacturing background. You will ideally have experience in the following:

- Data management and reporting
- Knowledge of packaging technologies and waste packaging compliance and reporting (EPR/WPR)
- European packaging and recycling requirements specially Scandinavia would be advantageous.
- Ability of build collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and teams.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work with in a fast-paced FMCG sector.
- Ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of production and manufacturing lines '“ advantageous.
- Ability to promote change Tertiary science or engineering qualifications, or equivalent relevant experience
