**About the Role***

Responsible to Deputy Director of Development (Alumni and Supporter Engagement)

Responsible for Prospect Research Manager, Information Systems Manager and their teams.

In this role, you’ll lead on the development of an insight strategy that enables the Development and Alumni Engagement team maximise engagement and fundraising income for the University of Warwick. You will play a key role in the Campaign Leadership Group and be responsible for relationships with Senior Stakeholders across the University as directed by the Deputy Director of Development.

We’re looking for a highly capable and productive individual who will play a strong leadership role as part of an expert team of Fundraising and Alumni Engagement professionals. You will need to love problem solving, developing creative solutions, and bring about collaboration to enable continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**:
**Degree,** **or equivalent level of work experience, **preferably including a programming, data analysis or statistics module**.**

Project management qualification _(eg. PRINCE2 - Desirable)_

Previous Experience
- Extensive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, including PowerBI**.**:

- Extensive experience of fundraising and alumni engagement systems, including working with Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising specific database/CRM in a campaign environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and data visualization best practices.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data management, and data quality concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing KPI reporting frameworks and dashboards.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a team, including performance management and resource allocation.
- Previous experience of engaging with senior leaders, translating requirements to enable data-driven solutions.
- Experience of procuring systems, relationship building and negotiating with suppliers.

Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and strategically with individuals and teams at all levels and across functions.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations and best practices.
- Sound working knowledge of UK, charity sector regulations and guidance, for example Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and motivate others, delivering positive outcomes in complex projects involving business stakeholders, consumer technology partners, and global and regional collaborators.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver complex projects through direct reports and working with other teams to achieve project to time, cost and quality required.
- Highly adaptable, able to deal positively with unforeseen problems and opportunities. Is comfortable with a level of ambiguity and risk
- An experienced people manager, with the ability to deliver change, enhance the ability and potential of the team by providing career development guidance and performance feedback.
