Planning Officer Role Profile

Grade E-F £27,803 - £33,945 per annum, appointment level dependent on knowledge & experience.

The opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Planning Officer to join our City Planning Team. You will be part of the team leading on the preparation of the development plan, supporting the preparation of the evidence base, providing advice and guidance to other officers, engaging with stakeholders and our community, dealing with enquiries and supporting other officers in the team.

You will need to be organised, have good written and verbal communication skills, able to analyse and interpret data and ideally have an understanding of local plan making. You will need an appropriate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline, or be studying towards or have a willingness to study towards this. Experience of planning and in particular local plan work is desirable although training will be provided.
