Events Assistant Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the delivery of live events in Britain’s Ocean City as part of the team at Plymouth City Council.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced organiser with a passion for events to join our high performing Team responsible for delivering events of all scales and sizes including global sporting events and signature events attracting over 50,000 people.

You will be responsible for supporting the Event Team with planning and delivering of events and required to be on site during event times and working with 3rd party event organisers to deliver safe events, compliant with relevant legislation & guidance.

You will be reporting into the Senior Event Officer and working in close contact with the Event Team and Marketing Teams, providing business support for team members including arranging meetings and financial processes.

You’ll be enthusiastic, self-motivated, exceptionally well organised and a good communicator.

This is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave from April 2024 to December 2024.

This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service.
