**The Role**

As a Flight Operations (Training) Inspector you will be part of the UK’s specialist aviation regulator, improving industry safety on behalf of the nation.

As a FO (Training) Inspector, your main accountabilities will include: Oversight of training organisations; Selecting, assessing and standardising industry Senior Examiners; Conducting examiner and instructor assessments of competence; Evaluation of FSTDs; Assisting with enforcement action when necessary.

**About You**

To considered for the role you will need to be:

- An experienced operator of single pilot aeroplanes, you should have considerable experience in an aeroplane training environment as an instructor and examiner
- Professional qualifications in training and testing must include FICI/CRI/IRI, Single Pilot Senior Examiner, FIE(A), IRE and FE PPL/CPL are highly desirable
- Highly proficient in both spoken and written English with a valid medical, you will bring in-depth knowledge and good communication skills
- Must hold a full and valid UK driving licence to allow unrestricted UK travel

**Additional Information**

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.

To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 3 years.
