**The opportunity**:
This dual role aims to ensure the scheme is ship shape and shiny and that our tenants have delicious and nutritious meals.

You’ll be working in a busy kitchen, feeding our tenants and sometimes their family and visitors too. You’ll have a chance to carry out a variety of kitchen duties from preparing the vegetables to serving the food to washing up - no two days will be the same. You’ll be assisting the chef to create delicious and nutritious meals for the tenants. You will also need to prepare the dining areas and clear them up after dinner so if you enjoy working in a clean and tidy environment, or enjoy creating clean work areas, this is the role for you as we ensure our kitchens, equipment and dining rooms are always squeaky clean

Washing, wiping, mopping, scrubbing, brushing, sweeping and shining - you’ll be doing all of this and more to keep our extra care scheme sparkling clean for our tenants and visitors.

**What we need from you**:

- Communication skills - you’ll be working closely with the domestic and kitchen teams, service manager, visitors and our tenants; they love to chat, so we need you to be approachable, friendly and welcoming.
- Organisational skills - you will be chopping, dicing, slicing, mixing and marinating but you will also need to keep on top of the paperwork. You’ll support with menu plans, stock control, complete HACCP documents, adhere to Food Hygiene regulations and work to the budget, so we need someone who can cross the T’s and dot the I’s, as well as serving up delicious pies.
