An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Triage Administrator to join the North East IDT team in the provision of Immediate and Planned Care to patients in the community. The multidisciplinary teams provide nursing and therapy services offering an alternative to hospital admission, supporting timely discharge and enabling people to realise their potential and functional independence. Your role will include dealing with referrals to the nursing team, general administration work & supporting the Team Leaders.

You will need to have administrative experience in the office setting, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Administration and IT skills to ECDL standards. We are committed to clinical support, CPD & training.

There is a need for excellent communication skills and a dedication to team working; you will need to work flexibly within a busy, demanding environment with the ability to develop new skills and working patterns.

Triage and call handler -The post holder will provide Triage for the community nursing team, handling all communications for the team and escalating to a registered clinician where appropriate.

Monitoring and management of the team demand and capacity under the supervision of the team leader

Complete stock check and re-order stock on appropriate systems

Ordering equipment and undertaking actions instructed by the community nursing team (housekeeper role)

Monitoring and managing service quality and performance reports

Writing duty rotas within a standard operating procedure for approval by the team leader

Prepare and write letters for the Team Leader

Monitoring and managing the teams training and appraisal compliance within the Electronic Staff Record system
