**THE ROLE**:

- Provide a consistent and professional service that supports the delivery of the University Strategy and associated priorities.
- Work with the Deputy Director Student Support Services / Student Life and lead the operational development of services, policies, procedures, budgets and functions within your area of responsibility, providing effective leadership to the team and support the financial management of the relevant service.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the Student Support Services Department to ensure an integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of projects and services including leading and contributing to relevant cross Department initiatives, in line with strategic priorities.
- Assist with the development of university protocols e.g. crisis response, and take ownership for the development/update of policies and procedures in the areas of alcohol and drugs in the university community.
- Represent your functional area at key internal committees and working groups and with external stakeholders.
