**Part Time - 29.6 hours/4 days per week (0.8 FTE)**
**Band 3 - starting salary £19,626 (FTE £24,533) with annual, incremental progression up to £21,155 (FTE £26,444).**
Arts University Plymouth is seeking to appoint a Welfare and Disability Officer to its Student Support team.
Student Support at AUP provides wellbeing, welfare, disability and counselling services. This role will work across welfare and disability, providing administration support for the student disability service, as well as be an initial contact support for AUP students, generic advice, signposting and providing an initial mental health first aid as and when appropriate.

**About The Role**:
This role works across both disability and welfare. It will be the initial point of contact for students entering the department in order to signpost and/or provide advice, guidance and information. It will also provide support for students during times of emotional distress, as well as offering ongoing one to one appointments for students who would like low levels of welfare support.
The role also provides administrative support for the Disability service (DSA) and includes supporting the initial screening for dyslexia. It will provide general advice and guidance on the DSA process to staff and students, working closely with the Disability Advisors.
