The right person will ideally be a field-based sales person with experience in developing a robust sales strategy to acquire new business, from medium to high value major accounts across multiple industries.
This is a high activity, fast turnover, targeted role so you must thrive in this type of environment.You will have a New Business target to hit every period so your drive to achieve this should be unwavering.You should have a persistent hunter mentalitywith the energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation to keep seeking New Business opportunities daily.You will find your own leads and set your own appointments so experience in researching local and regional companies, cold calling and visiting new customersis a must.
**What you’ll be doing as a Business Development Executive**:

- Develop and navigate medium to long-term strategic sales plan to win new business across multiple industries in your territory
- Prospect and seek out potential customers, nurturing them into opportunities for future new business
- Establish communication channels and open the door for opportunities through market research, cold calling, arranging appointments and visiting new customers at their premises
- Play a key role in tender processes from start to finish to secure new contracts
- Represent phs with brand new customers at the appropriate level
- Focus on the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of sales activity not just the quantity
- Use the CRM system to effectively record, manage and develop opportunities

- Demonstrable experience in delivering against new business growth targets
- Proven track record in a strategic sales role preferably with experience in acquiring medium to high value accounts
- The ability to influence and negotiate with others effectively
- Has high energy and pace
- Thrives in a high-pressure sales environment
- Is resilient and tenacious in their approach to winning new business
- High professional and personal standards
- Can be decisive and resilient
- Someone who can challenge, respectfully, constructively and effectively
- A valid UK driving licence
- A security check or be willing to get one

**In return for your commitment and expertise, you will get**:

- Salary up to £42,500 depending on experience
- OTE £72,500 and uncapped earnings
