**We are recruiting for a 12 month fixed term, part-time (30 hours worked over 4 days) Housing Project Worker to work at our Kingston supported accommodation project for care leavers.**

**The pro rata salary for this role is between £24,345- £26,442.**

A varied and important role from ensuring the highest health and safety standards are met - through to making vulnerable young people’s living space safe, secure and homely.

About the role

The postholder will be involved in housing management tasks such as Health & Safety and Fire compliance, rent collection and providing monitoring reports. They will also oversee the day to day finances including raising Purchase Orders, the banking, petty cash (cash and digital)/float and ordering of supplies. They will also assist the service managers by providing admin support for new initiatives and projects.

In the absence of the key workers to engage with young people, offering support that is needed, liaising with professionals and dealing with incidents as they occur. They will also be reporting repairs, ensuring compliance works are carried out and dealing with contractors on site. They will ensure that regular Health & Safety checks of communal areas and equipment are
completed & communal areas are regularly cleaned, issues are logged and actioned appropriately.

About you

We are looking for an individual who has excellent administration and communication skills that can also relate well to young people. Flexibility is key as there will be changing priorities during a shift. One minute you could be dealing with a contractor on site or doing a Health & Safety inspection and the next giving a room a deep clean for an emergency move in.

A can do attitude is essential as you will be responsible for the safety of the young people and the security of the building. You will need to have a solution focussed mindset, be proactive and use your own initiative and be confident making decisions whilst on shift.
