**About Us**:
**Role Overview**:
We are currently recruiting for a **Housing Assessment Worker** to join the Prevention team at our London office.

In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for any young person needing support. You will conduct triage assessments evaluating each client’s needs and direct them to appropriate support services within our network to enable a smooth transition into safe accommodation.

Specifically, you’ll be reviewing the level of risk and availability of support using our Danger Zones and Stepping Stones assessment tool.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Complete an initial assessment of the young person’s needs and goals, in a trauma and psychologically informed way, triaging young people & their needs.
- Keep fully accurate and up-to-date records within the requisite time scales and undertake any necessary administrative tasks in relation to the work.

Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a **full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role.**

**What We Are Looking For - Person Specification**:

- Experience of providing excellent customer service, ideally with a vulnerable, disadvantaged or excluded client group
- Experience of undertaking detailed assessments, triaging levels of need and urgency.
- Experience of providing support to people who are facing or have experienced homelessness (desirable)
- Understanding of the causes of homelessness and of the often complex needs of those facing homelessness
- Understanding of handing sensitive and personal information, in line with data protection requirements.
