**Personality Disorder Partnership**

**Full Time Band 5 Manager**

**The NE region is offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent band 5 manager to work in the Personality Disorder Pathway Team. The post holder will work jointly with the Cumbria Northumbria Tyne-Weir (CNTW) Partnership and share operational responsibility for the delivery of the IIRMS service (known locally as rebuilding lives) across the NE region. The post holder will also be responsible for developing partnership relationships with key stakeholders across the region. This will involve working closely with CNTW and Tees and Esk Wear Valley NHS Trust (TEWV) partnership colleagues.**

**The post holder will be part of the senior leadership team holding a shared responsibility for the governance and strategic development of the work. This includes responsibility for overseeing and delivery of the IIRMS service (rebuilding lives), managing the risk profile of those People on Probation accessing the service and contributing to the workforce development strategy of both probation colleagues and the partnership team.**

**The post holder will also have direct oversight of the reporting of activity to OPD Commissioners and will have a lead responsibility for accounting for this activity in quarterly contract meetings.**

**The post holder will be linked to Newcastle PDU but there is flexibility as to their workplace base (in a probation office in the NE) and a requirement to travel across the region in accordance with business need. The role is working as part of a remote team and some working from home is an option based on business need and the requirements of the role. Ideally, access to a car and flexibility to work as required, using their own initiative are desired requirements of this role.**

**The post holder will have line management responsibility for Probation practitioners (PSOs and PO). The post holder will be line managed by the NE Probation Region Senior Operational Lead for the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway.**

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- **Working in partnership with Health colleagues, leading on the organisational and clinical development of aspects of the OPD work**:

- **Ensuring that risk management stays at the forefront of all interventions**:

- **Representing Probation at partnership meetings**:

- **Representing Probation and the partnership at Commissioners meetings and other external meetings.**:

- **Working with PDU representatives and MAPPA colleagues to ensure that systems are established so that the interventions are integrated into the practice.**:

- **Line management of Probation staff in the partnership**
- **Previous experience of partnership work and multi-agency teams**:

- **An understanding of the aims, objectives and processes of the OPD pathway.**:

- **Knowledge of psychological and organisational theories that underpin the work with this service user group**:

- **Experience of the IIRMS service**:

- **A commitment to continuous professional development**:

- **Resilience, flexibility, and a commitment to working with others to find solutions**

**Overview of the job**

This is a management role within the National Probation Service (NPS).

The Senior Probation Officer supports the Head of Operational Function to provide management and a leading role within a Local Delivery Unit (LDU) or other operational unit.

**Summary**

The job holder will be expected to manage and lead staff within the operational area to the required standard, and will offer support and cover to other teams/functions during periods of absence.
In line with NPS policies and procedures, the job holder must at all times demonstrate a commitment to equality and inclusion and an understanding of their relevance to the work they do.
