Head of Finance

We are recruiting for a
** Head of Finance, Manufacturing,** based at Congleton, UK for the
** Siemens General Motion Control business (GMC)**

Siemens General Motion Control business has a clear target to be undisputed number one in our market and we are well on the way to achieving this. Crucial to ensuring continued success is providing our customers with a comprehensive product portfolio that meets their needs. We design, and manufacture AC electronics motor controllers known as drives. These products not only help our customers better control and digitalise their machines, they can also help improve their carbon footprint.

As Head of Finance for the GMC manufacturing location in Congleton, UK, you would be responsible for all commercial functions and activities of the factory

**What part will you play?**
- Lead all aspects of business planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and controllership.
- As a natural people leader, you empower and balance a team of highly skilled and engaged employees. The team members are spread across the DI business units, like sales and service organisation, IT, strategic procurement and order management. Foster communication and collaboration within your team and with the global colleagues.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives to ensure smooth operations and to consistently deliver and optimised, compliant performance.
- Act as an outstanding role model, by building a culture of teamwork, ownership and trust.
- Develop and nurture a long term trust based relationship with key internal stakeholders and partner with Financing, Tax and support functions to ensure efficient risk management and internal control systems. You will also be responsible for Export Control & Customs (ECC)
- Fulfil the highest ethical standards, act with integrity, respect and confidentiality. You make people development, succession planning and diversity an absolute priority.
- Drive digitalisation in finance

**What you need to make real what matters**:

- Education: Degree or professional certification in either Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
- Distinguished experience as a commercial leader of a factory or long term experience in commercial leadership roles in the factory environment
- Expertise in IFRS and Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines (SFRGs).
- Results-oriented professional with intercultural sensitivity and the ability to collaborate with teams and partners around the world.
- Have a P&L outlook and willingness to take calculated risks and drive breakthrough solutions.
- Ability to instil trust and confidence internally and externally through clear communication, credibility and leadership.
