An exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Skills for Success Multiply team in Pembrokeshire. Futureworks is seeking a Business Support Officer to support the project delivery team.

Multiply is a UK wide numeracy programme which aims to raise the numeracy levels of adults through the delivery of skills courses and qualifications. The programme is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Multiply is an exciting scheme that enables adults to attend free numeracy courses supporting them to develop greater skills and confidence in numeracy, enabling better budgeting, supporting children with homework, increased job opportunity and potential to gain numeracy qualifications such as GCSE or Functional/Essential Skills.

Skills for Success aims to help adults improve their ability to understand and use number skills effectively in daily life, home, and work: improving household finances, helping children with homework, making more sense of the facts in the media or improving skills specific to a line of work.

This is a busy and varied role providing project based administrative and financial support to the project.

You will be ensuring the high quality development and delivery of the project by undertaking a range of administrative tasks such as logging project data, using social media platforms to raise awareness of opportunities, communicating with key stakeholders, booking venues, sending promotional and advertisement literature to stakeholders and interested parties, managing the day-to-day financial and administrative element of the project and collating project documentation.

About you

We are looking for someone who possess the following skills and attributes that will ensure the project is successfully supported through accurate and effective administration:

- Excellent IT skills including familiarity with database packages and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Experience of assisting with purchase and supply of services/goods and the monitoring of financial claims
- Experience of producing reports and minutes of meetings
- Experience of delivering high quality customer service to both internal and external clients in a professional manner
- Effective and appropriate communication skills
- Experience of working under pressure to strict deadlines
- Demonstrates understanding of the importance of tracking and monitoring processes
- Supports the design and development of procedures in delivering effective business operations
- Takes responsibility for your own diary and day to day management of workload
- Takes responsibility for the quality, accuracy and timely management of your own work
