A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, qualified and enthusiastic Head of Business Assurance to join our Business Assurance and Performance Team.
This role is on a permanent basis working 37 hours per week. The role will be a mix of home and office working. However, there will be a requirement to attend meetings at our head office in Birkenhead and potentially other locations as deemed necessary to fulfil your role and complete training.
**The role**
The role reports directly to the Business Assurance & Performance Director.
The overall purposes of the role will be:
- To maintain 2nd line risk through the Business Assurance programme which ensures compliance with legal and regulatory standards, internal policies and procedures and supports transformational change across the organisation.
- To embed risk through robust and effective risk management processes and reporting practices at all levels of the organisation.
- To manage data protection and information security policies and processes, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation, including GDPR.
- To lead, coach and manage staff for whom the post-holder is responsible to ensure the effective operation of the Business Assurance function.
The postholder will be responsible for reporting to the Magenta Living Board and Audit and Risk Committee as well as working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation to develop, implement and maintain effective risk and assurance processes and procedures. Alongside this you will have a good working knowledge of compliance with data protection legislation including GDPR in order to support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and deputise, when necessary, by liaising and cooperating with the Information Commissioners Office.
