**Building Safety Compliance Officer**:
Job description

Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

As the city’s largest provider of social housing, with a portfolio of over 19,000 homes, we are committed to providing decent, good quality housing and support services. In an ever-changing social housing climate, it is crucial to ensure our stock is safe and compliant for our residents.

Join our growing Building Safety & Compliance Team, to be a key member of our professional and dedicated team of specialist officers. You’ll find the perfect environment to use your existing knowledge and experience across the core areas of compliance, where your primary focus will be water safety.

Using your technical expertise, you’ll assist in the review and production of internal compliance focused policies and procedures, particularly in relation to water safety standards. Partnership working is crucial for this role, especially when building, and maintaining effective relationship with stakeholders. You’ll act as the first point of contact when providing technical advice, guidance, and support on Legal and Regulatory compliance. With experience of working within a building/property management compliance role, you’ll confidently be able to oversee both planned and reactive risk assessment and works inspection programmes via external contracted suppliers.

Managing remedial risk actions and providing scrutiny and direction, you’ll ensure actions are compliant and undertaken in accordance with current requirements. You’ll deliver compliance focused works and services, undertaking site meetings and visits to check the progress and quality with agreed specifications. You’ll need to have a full driving licence and be able to travel around the city.

**Assessment/interviews will take place on Thursday 6th and/or Friday 7th June 2024
