Our company is searching for a knowledgeable, reliable, and task-orientated individual who has the desire to succeed within our growing well-established frozen food and ice-cream distributor in Edmonton, London, N18.
We are looking for someone with basic understanding of product buying administration having worked in a food wholesaler or retailer. You will be creative and innovative with an ability to spot future food trends. Enthusiastic and a love for the product range.
As Product Administrator you will be responsible for providing full admin support in all purchasing activities.
Natural progression with this role will be into the senior leadership team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Analyse data and use it to inform purchasing decisions.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that they are sufficient to meet demand.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies within the supply chain.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management would be advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Working hours are Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 5.00pm with 1/2-hour unpaid lunch. Over seasonal period overtime will be necessary.
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year dependant on experience.
