**JOB TITLE: Tech Lead/Software Engineering Lead**

**Salary: £85,000 - 100,000
LOCATION(S): Bristol**

**HOURS: Full time**

**WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in Bristol with some travel to London if required**

**About this opportunity**

Working alongside the Product Owner, the Lead Software Engineer is the technical lead for our strategic Pricing systems used in Commercial Lending, which we’re developing to integrate with the Bank of the Future, you will also be part of the Lab Leadership team responsible for progressing your team and labs objectives and achieving our vision of a dynamic, energetic and fun environment where market leading technology is at the heart of delivering the best client and colleague experiences.
- You'll collaborate with Business, Product and Engineering teams, driving efforts to design, build, support solutions.
- You'll champion software engineering practices that align with architectural and group strategies and coach/mentor engineers.
- This is a leadership level role and will blend both deep domain and technical expertise within a feature team and great passion for coaching and developing people in a “player-coach” model.

**What you’ll need**:

- Experienced software engineering management, managing delivery of complex initiatives requiring stakeholder and dependency management, working across the development life cycle.
- Full stack engineering, ideally with .NET, SQL Server, C#, React.js, REST APIs, and relational database.
- Software and Technical Architecture, including cloud-native and Continuous Delivery
- Experience and/or passion for advocating engineer, identifying, and supporting teams in resolution of impediments and issues, promoting CI/CD and test automation.
- Agile practitioner - an advocate of working in Scrum or Kanban, making work visible, and creating strong team cultures.
- People first mindset - driving out fear in teams and supporting continuous learning.

**And any experience of these would be really useful**
- Experience of building tools for Data Analytics.
- Azure Public Cloud and Containers.
- Knowledge and awareness of cyber security vulnerability and technical risk management.
- Experience of Behaviour Driven Development.
