We are looking to expand our Imaging Services by recruiting a Clinical Service Lead
- Radiology.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Service Lead will provide clinical leadership to Modalitys radiology services including plain film x-ray, MRI and ultrasound and lead the development of additional radiology services including CT and teleradiology. The postholder will work in partnership with the service leads for MRI, ultrasound and x-ray and the radiology service manager to oversee the operational management of radiology services on a day-to-day basis by line managing clinical staff and planning effective service delivery.

- Over 15 years of experience of delivering community outpatient services
- Contracts with ICBs and hospital providers
- A diverse clinical workforce of consultants, GPs with extended roles, specialist nurses and allied health professionals
- Delivery of over 120,000 patient consultations per year
- Delivery of 1st consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral from a choice of community locations, 7 days per week

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential
- Consultant Radiologist on GMC Specialist Register.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and proficiency in accordance with GMC guidelines

ExperienceEssential
- Strong experience of managing a diverse range of clinical staff groups
- Experience of measuring and evaluating outcomes in order to drive improvement.
- A proven track record of delivering results/impact in a senior management role

KnowledgeEssential
- In depth knowledge of radiology services
- Health services and the delivery of health care
- Knowledge of governance requirements across the radiology functions
- Good understanding of the legislation relating to Radiation Protection and Health and Safety
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in radiography equipment and techniques

SkillsEssential
- Ability to shape and implement a vision and strategy for a high performing department
- Strong relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders, up to and including at a senior level
- Ability to assess and review services to ensure adherence to external standards such as CQC
- Ability to critically analyse complex information and evaluate a range of options to identify service improvements
