Role Overview
CatSci Ltd, based in Cardiff, UK, is an expert service provider to the chemical research, development and manufacturing industries, specialising in the process research and development for manufacturing drug substance and other high-value materials. CatSci Ltd has extensive knowledge and expertise in a wide range of chemistry from discovery support through to full-scale manufacturing and life-cycle management.
We are looking for an HR Coordinator who will act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries from employees and external partners. You will be self-motivated and results-oriented with a clear focus on the delivery of demanding project objectives. As this role will be responsible for the majority of administrative tasks you will have to demonstrate an eye for detail and experience in the use of HR or payroll systems.
Full-time working hours can be reduced to 32h/ week (the pay and annual leave will be pro-rated for part-time working arrangements).
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the Head of People and Culture, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a complete HR administration service in areas of recruitment, payroll, sick absence, and HR records
- Working collaboratively to ensure standard processes and procedures are in place, understood, complied with, and amended as required
- Supporting the HR Team in the development of the administration function, ensuring processes and procedures are efficient and consistent
- Being involved in providing general advice/ guidance and escalating queries as required
- Providing initial HR advice and guidance as appropriate, referring staff to other HR team members where appropriate
- Legal compliance
You will need to be able to adapt to changing business needs, re-prioritise as necessary, and work closely with the HR and Operation teams, to ensure that an effective and high-value service is provided.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in HR or business administration
- GCSE’s in English and Maths A - C (or equivalent)
- HR-related degree or working towards CIPD qualifications would be greatly beneficial
- Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
- An ability to multitask and stay organised at all times
- A high level of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
- An eye for details
- IT Literacy including Ms Office
- Experience in using HR and payroll systems
