They chose to do a variety of different activities, some of the things you could be providing support with could be; going bowling, maintaining relationships with family, going for countryside walks, visits to the beach, going out for drinks or meals, going to parks to play on the swings, going out for adventurous journeys in the car and even going even going on holiday A Dynamic team who works hard to improve the lives of the people we support.

Everyday can be different and can create an opportunity.

**What will you be doing?**

Support can vary from day to day, depending on what the person we support would like to do that day, the person we support is quite able and independent, however there is a need to provide support with day-to-day tasks from a morning routine getting ready, supporting with finance, communicating information to support informed decisions, promoting active support and independence, supporting with activities and maintaining relationships with family. Most important of all building up a positive, professional and trusting relationship with the person we support and ensuring they are safe and have their individual needs met. This involves following a positive behaviour support plan to achieve a greater quality of life.

**About you**

The person we support is a young man who loves to interact with his support team and has a great sense of humour, he wants and needs his staff to be the same in return, a positive can-do attitude and the ability to be caring and understanding is essential.

You would be working in a team of three every shift, so it’s important that you have good team skills and communication. The team you would be working with are very experienced and follow tailor-made support plans which they would support you to be familiar with.

It’s important to have the ability to adapt to different situations, supporting with the highs and lows of a person’s life. We all have them and as support workers we need to be sensitive and responsive in our approaches.

A understand of a positive behaviour support plan would be beneficial but you would be fully trained and supported to be able to meet the needs of the person we support.

We are looking for someone who holds a driving license, as we access the community using the person we support’s car.

Most important qualification - the genuine motivation to make a difference in someone’s life and have the desired outcome to improve quality.
