We have exciting part time opportunities within Bereavement Services to join our highly customer focused team here in Solihull.

We are looking for someone who can offer the right blend of professionalism; customer empathy and an absolute commitment to excellent customer service whilst working within a legislative framework. The operational team, work within our cemeteries and crematorium across the borough including Woodlands Cemetery and Crematorium, Robin Hood Cemetery and Crematorium and Widney Manor Cemetery.

As a Bereavement Service Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for guests attending services, including ushering to our crematorium, scatterings, interments and burial services. Working in partnership with crematorium technicians and funeral directors, you will ensure that the services are undertaken efficiently and professionally.

To succeed in the role, you will have:

- Experience of working within a customer facing environment with a focus on providing high quality customer service.
- The ability and confidence to manage and co-ordinate large groups of people.
- Excellent organisation skills, able to prioritise and mange competing demands, under pressure whilst working to strict ceremony timescales and deadlines.
- The ability to deal with sensitive and difficult situations
- Previous experience of working in an environment dealing with bereaved friends and families is desirable but not essential

This role will require you to be highly flexible and available Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.
