**Children’s Deputy Home Manager - Surrey - Up to £32,500**

**Here at Hampton’s Resourcing we are delighted to be working in partnership with a small and innovative children’s residential care provider who are on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager for their 4 bed EBD home based inthe Surrey area Our client uses a trauma informed, therapeutic approach when caring for children and young people using an integrated programme - does this sound like an organisation that you would like to join?**

Our client’s aim is to help the children to develop the ability to create and sustain meaningful and trusting relationships with others; providing them with interpersonal skills which can be utilised later in life. Their in house psychologist is on boardto provide the young people with bespoke and professional guidance using evidence-based approaches to assist in the development of individualised care plans.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To manage the home to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of the young people. To ensure that the welfare of the young women is the paramount consideration in the provision of the service
- To be responsible for the overall day to day running of the home alongside the Registered Manager. To manage practical issues, conflicts and dilemmas, undertaking direct work and providing an on call support and reporting service during your working hours
- To ensure all young people have written placement plans in place, setting out identified needs and plans to meet this need. Ensure ongoing assessment, development and review of the young people’s individual plans
- To provide supervision to all staff on a regular basis that meets the requirements in relation to frequency, duration and content as required by The Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. Where supervision is delegated to be responsible forensuring that this meets required standards

**Skills and Experience**:

- Must hold Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and ideally the Level 5 in Leadership and Management
- Have prior experience working as a deputy or Team leader in residential child care including the supervision of staff
- To hold an in-depth knowledge of The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, and related guidance, the Children Act and other relevant legislation and guidance
- Assessment and Placement planning skills i.e. ability to assess and identify needs and develop and deliver plans to meet these needs to achieve positive outcomes

**Salary: Up to £32.5K plus sleep in allowance**
