**Job summary**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within the Macmillan Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) and Hepatobiliary (HPB) specialist team based within HGS.

You would join this well-established and highly regarded UGI/HPB cancer specialist nursing service. We are looking for an experienced, innovative, motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic registered nurse with excellent communication skills who has a passion and drive for delivering patient centered care and services.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
3 years post registration (2 years' experience in cancer care, palliative care or upper GI/Gastroenterology)

Knowledge of upper GI and HPB cancer diagnosis and management

Knowledge and understanding of the Cancer CNS role and its purpose

Advanced communication skills to speak with patients, relatives and liaison with multidisciplinary team including a variety of support network

Basic Computer knowledge

You will be supporting patients from suspected malignancy all the way through their cancer pathway from treatment to palliative care including complex aspects of their journey.
