An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Gynaecology specialty for an additional Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a dedicated team of clinicians to provide front end pathway diagnostic and treatment to patients referred in to the service on the 2 week rule pathway, including hysteroscopy and post menstrual bleeding services.

You will be an integral part of the team supporting the delivery of key performance targets, particularly the quality agenda and will support the medical and nursing team to create an environment of continuous improvement and professional development, ensuring the delivery of patient care is regularly reviewed and service developments or change are implemented when necessary.

In this role you will be supported to develop your clinical and leadership skills. A tailor -made programme of development will be undertaken dependent on your skill set and experience. We expect that you will be either educated to Masters level or willing to undertake a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice as well as the hysteroscopy qualification at Bradford. This would be complemented by a supportive consultant mentor for you as you develop specific competencies.

Training post will be considered and Annex 21 pay scale and Band 8a salary will be paid upon completion of all these elements.

To practice autonomously with a high level of accountability at a specialist level in the direct delivery of high quality care, making critical clinical decisions based on specialist clinical assessment.

Plan and manage complete episodes of care, working in partnership with others and delegating and referring as appropriate to optimise outcomes as well as providing direct support to patients and clients.

To provide clear leadership and direction to support both the medical and nursing teams acting as a role model for the Trust, presenting a positive image to patients and staff.

Advocate and contribute to the development of an organisational culture that supports continuous learning and development, evidence-based practice and succession
planning.

Critically engage in research activity, adhering to good research practice guidance, so that evidence based strategies are developed and applied to enhance quality, safety, productivity and value for money.

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills, skills in co-ordination of care and an ability to work flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team. Providing excellent patient experience is critical for all our patients and you will play a key role in ensuring that patient experience is optimised through accessible and effective communication and care delivered with compassion and empathy.

You will be a key member of the gynaecology team and as an autonomous practitioner.

You will be responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive service for managing patients who are referred into the gynaecology service on a two week rule pathway.

You must be dynamic and proactive. Being a team player is essential with the ability to communicate effectively within the service and with patients.

You will be required to undertake the theory based hysteroscopy course at Bradford University whilst training in house with consultant hysteroscopist’s.

In addition, you will also be required to complete the Advanced Practice Masters Degree which will be funded by the Trust
