Lloyd’s Animal Feeds are a family owned business, with feed mills across the UK, supplying animal feed to the Dairy, Beef, Sheep, Pig and Poultry Markets. As a leader in farm animal nutrition, Lloyd’s works with key customers to deliver highly valued nutritional feed solutions, producing quality products to the highest standards. As well as supplying feed to independent farmers, we own and work closely with contract producers in rearing, laying and the broiler sector. We have developed an enviable professional and technical reputation within the feed industry for listening to customers and delivering on farm results.

You will provide strong support to the commercial function of the business and become an important part of a small central team that is crucial to our future success.

Reporting to the Raw Material Manager your day to day tasks will include
- Assisting with the buying of raw materials
- On farm grain procurement
- Feed pricing to both our sales teams and direct to customers
- Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding raw material sustainability

This is a fantastic opportunity to be in the heart of our business.

Good understanding of the UK agricultural supply chain, grain markets and animal nutrition, with an appreciation of the factors that impact on our customers and suppliers.

Conscientious and focused with the ability to act quickly and accurately when required.

Effectively interpret market information in order to determine market sentiment.

Exceptional phone manner and ability to hold your own in meetings.

Proactive approach when markets move to re-price customers and follow-up on prospective grain purchases.

Able to negotiate on price in various settings.

Ideally Degree educated in business and/or agriculture.
