We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school located in the vibrant town of Blackpool. This full-time position is available for the entire academic year and offers the chance to work in a Key Stage 2 class, supporting children with a range of special educational needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, including those with behavior challenges, learning difficulties, and other additional needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Assist in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Implement behavior management strategies and interventions, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in their social and emotional development, promoting independence, resilience, and self-esteem.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents/guardians, external professionals, and other staff members as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN, particularly in relation to behavior management and supporting children with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of effective strategies and interventions to support children with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional well-being of children.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
- Available to work full-time for the duration of the academic year.
