Year 2 Sen Teaching Assistant Term-time Primary

**Role Overview**:
As a Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant working through M2 Education, you will play a crucial role in providing dedicated 1-to-1 support to a child within a Year 2 class. This position entails assisting a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Lower Ability, ensuring their well-being, development, and successful integration within the classroom environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Offer tailored 1-to-1 support to the designated child throughout the school day.
- Assist in implementing strategies outlined in the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere to encourage the child's social and academic growth.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff to ensure consistent support and progress tracking.
- Document the child's progress and any incidents, maintaining accurate records for review.
- Promote a safe and nurturing environment for the child's emotional and physical well-being.
**Requirements**:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in working within education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with young learners
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the children
