Position: Demand & Supply Planner

We are looking for a sound administrator, who has the ability to familiarise themselves with and interpret industry regulations. We require excellent organisation teamed with accurate record keeping which tracks critical paths to expedite timelines and communicate status to the wider commercial team.

**Reporting to** : Commercial Director

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Accountability for scheduling, coordinating, and fulfilling the level of demand for lines required through supply chain purchasing
- Create the consumption forecasts and demand plan for factored goods, by working closely with the Sales Team, Product Team, Marketing Team (re eCommerce/promotional/exhibitions)
- Compare current buying trends with consumption forecasts to setup and maintain planning parameters against around inventory lines
- Create MRP purchasing schedule in line with planning parameters
- Create necessary processes and SOPs to integrate and expedite the supply chain
- Be proactive in problem solving to ensure expedition of the supply chain to meet deadlines
- Work with Product and Sales departments to review planning on new product introductions and the handling of obsolescence
- Monitor, analyse and create reports relating to sales peaks and troughs, understanding the reasons for the trends and seasonality, working to pre-empt and optimise stock profile at all times
- Raise orders for approval to ensure that stock profile is right for the business; right type of stock, at the right time, in the right place, in the right quantity
- Work closely with the factored supply bases to assist with their production plans and timelines by forecasting our requirement and communicating weekly to ensure they fully understand our requirements and are prepared to meet our deadlines
- Work with freight forwarders to expedite deliveries and supply chain.
- Work with the Sales Team to support customers’ sample requirements, ensuring they are efficiently despatched by the factory and/or our F.E. support.
- Work with Marketing and Sales to plan and manage the delivery of exhibition stock to arrive on time and in full.
- Create, manage and report on stock of factored goods.
- Work with the F.E. support resource to create and manage SOPs for Q.C., samples, quality management and any other liaison required to ensure communication and actions are clear and completed.
- Line and performance manage the Assistant Demand Planner & Analyst.
- Work with the factored goods supply bases to facilitate efficiencies and best practices.
- Be the back-up support for customer service returns (eCommerce) in the absence of customer care.
- Assist the Product and Sales teams with customer complaints, customer SLAs, ensuring the flow of payments to expedite deliveries.
- Work to make continual improvements on SOPs ensuring best practices to support the business in achieving professionalism and customer service excellence.

**Person specifications**:

- Minimum 2 year’s previous experience in similar role.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain activities.
- Ability to work effectively between departments and deliver against the time pressures.
- Highly numerate, excellent IT skills, Microsoft Dynamics advantageous.
- Solid commercial understanding.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible, positive, problem solver.
- Shows confident capable initiative.
- Works well in a team.
- First class time management.
