Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Now with 22 sites nationwide, Cranswick are dedicated to growing and developing our team.
Our Preston site has a rare opportunity to join their Planning Department, who are currently on the look our for a new Demand Planner. You would be responsible for interpreting retail demand both short and long term to ensure a high service level is maintained.
**Main duties include (but not limited to)**:
- Entry of raw feed stocks into demand stock sheets.
- To understand base line capacities and to liaise with production management continuously monitoring performance against plans.
- Daily updating of customers forecasts and challenging forecast accuracy.
- Ordering of 3rd party materials (European meat & fresh ingredients).
- Entry of downgrades into weekly tracker.
- Liaise with Production Planner and Planning Co-Ordinator hourly to ensure feed stock is available for retail demands.
- Daily Carcass balance vs retail demand.
- Maintain optimum stock levels for both feed stock and finished pack complying with any Technical constraints.
**You will have**:
- Ideally experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)
- Proven track record within demand planning (or similar)
- Excellent communication and forward-thinking skills
