Brand-new nursery that has opened in the Sudbury area of Wembley offering childcare places for children between 3 months to 5 years. Open from 8.00pm to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday 52 weeks a year excluding bank holidays.

They provide flexible, affordable, quality childcare to support families in the community. They are a multicultural nursery school that welcomes children of all cultural backgrounds. They are a qualified, friendly team who care for and support the learning opportunities for the needs of the individual child.

**Knowledge and Qualities required**:

**Duties include**:

- Have an understanding of children's development, their needs and the provision of positive play
- Care for and supervise the group of children assigned to them.
- Ensure their safety at all times.
- Take an interest in the children and their families, to treat them as individuals and with respect at all times.
- Create an interesting and stimulating environment for the child to develop all their skills.
- Provide at all times a warm and caring environment for babies and to be as consistent as possible regarding that environment.
- Provide support for any children with special needs and to liaise with senior members of staff to promote their welfare and development
- Ensure positive management of children’s behaviour.
- Ensure the ethos, implementation and legal requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Support a commitment to the theory and practice of equal opportunities.
- Ensure an adherence to the health and safety policy relating to the provision of play.
- Support senior members of staff to put appropriate Child Protection procedures into practice.
- Be flexible and adaptable, to assist in all areas of nursery work and to provide support for other members of staff.
- Assist in the keeping of development records and observations, and accident, incident and risk assessment records as appropriate

**Training to be offered**
- TQUK Level 2 Early Years Practitioner (RQF) apprenticeship or,
- TQUK Level 3 Early Years Educator (RQF) apprenticeship
- Functional Skills in English and Maths if not exempt

**Salary**:£5.28 - £6.50 per hour
