We are currently looking for an **Early Years Assistant** to support amongst a reception class in a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience within the Early Years sector and good knowledge of the EYFS framework. You will also be expected to work alongside children with varying special educational needs, so prior experience with SEN stratergies and interventions is essential.

**Details about Early Years Role**:

- Mon-Fri, 8:30am - 3:45pm
- No weekends
- Term time, Long-term, Full-time
- £425-£525 per week (PAYE)
- Potential to be placed on teacher training programme

- Continuous support/advice from specialist consultants

**Responsibilities of Early Years Assistant**:

- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for young children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Encourage learning through play
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Observe and assess children's development and progress
- Collaborate with other educators to plan and coordinate activities and events
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and incidents
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns

**Skill Requirements for Early Years Assistant**:

- Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices
- Adept understanding of EYFS framework
- Behaviour management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards young children
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of children and the program

Pay: £425.00-£525.00 per week
